Mark Rockwood I have been a photographer for forty years. It sounds like a long time but feels like nothing when I look back. Photography has been the best work life possible. No two days are the same. No two assignments are the same, even when I’m asked to shoot the same product on multiple occasions. For the last thirty years I have worked mainly for catalogs and ad agencies, making images of products and lifestyle situations. My fascination with light plays heavily into my work; I utilize it's ability to remake a moment or change the perception of a subject. I am held by photography's capacity to transform the ordinary into the exceptional and I enjoy how the craziness of the production environment can translate into an image that has calm, appealing beauty.

In my years as a photographer I have had the opportunity to collaborate with other motivated professionals, creating work beyond the range of any single creative individual. I’ve worked for both large and small companies on projects grand and modest. My clients inculde Brookstone, LL Bean, Cooking Enthusiast, Plow and Hearth, Jotul North America, Orvis, Junonia, Dharmacrafts and others. Look at my work and see what you think.
